Couch to 5K to Half Marathon Week 1


This is Week #1 of our Couch to 5K plan. I am so super excited!!! 

As a reminder this plan will have you to your first 5K by the first week in December and if you keep running with me you can run your first half marathon in March!

I have 31 people on this journey locally. We all met and ran workout 1 together on Monday! It was so much fun! 


We plan to complete workout 2 at some point on our own this week and then we will do workout 3 together on Saturday. 

If you want to join us on this journey here are your workouts for this week. 

Workout #1, #2, & #3 this week:
Start with a brisk 5-minute warm-up walk. Then alternate 60 seconds of jogging and 90 seconds of walking for 20 minutes. Follow that with a 5-minute cool-down walk.
This took us about a mile and a half during this time. 



Once you have this first workout complete you will be so proud of yourself! That feeling is the best!
